Scent Games Level 1
This course will introduce you and your dog to the foundations of scent detection through a series of games.
Scent games are an excellent way to provide enrichment for your dog. These games are suitable for dogs of all ages and abilities whether just for fun or with a goal of competing.
This class is 1 hour a week for 7 weeks.
The required materials (scent oils, containers, gloves) are included in the price of this course.
Prerequisite: Beginning with Basics

Scent Games Level 2
This course will build on the foundations learned in level 1. We will work on staying on source, alerts, and a variety of different search techniques and scent games. Dogs must be able to search for each odour - wintergreen, pine and thyme, as taught in level 1.
This class is 1 hour a week for 7 weeks.
The required materials (scent oils, containers, gloves) are included in the price of this course.

Scent Games: Amazing Interiors
Join Cassandra and take your dog on a weekly scent field trip. We will practice the interiors components - containers and areas searches - at a hotel, retail businesses, even the airport!!
Developing search strategies and the confidence to search in many different venues builds on the dog’s abilities to manage and work in different environments with unforeseen distractions, and any number of scent challenges. As this is an advanced course, students must have completed at least 2 scent classes and be able to work with all 3 target odours comfortably.
NOTE: Due to some business’ requests, certain weeks the class will be split into two working groups
This class is 1 hour a week for 7 weeks. Locations will be emailed to class participants.

Scent Games - Exteriors
One of the main components of scent work is working outside. In this session. we will meet at a variety of public places to practice working outside. This class runs rain or shine. Cancelled if there is lightning and thunder.
We will train the following topics:

Exterior container searches

Working through distractions

Advanced Scent Games
This advanced class is designed for teams who might pursue future SDDA scent trials. We will focus on the 4 components of a trial - containers, interiors, exteriors and games. Each week we will work on different challenges which might come up in a trialing situation. **Future trialing is not a requirement to attend this course**
Prerequisites: Scent Games 1 and 2, and Interiors or Exteriors (3 class sessions minimum)
